With massive globalization, expansion of western ideals, and rapid technological and media increases, everyday it seems like the world gets a little smaller and it becomes more and more difficult to find genuine travel experiences without throngs of tourists impacting and potential ruining the very places you have dreamed of visiting. We at WANT Expeditions overcome this by continually seeking out new destinations and experiences, emphasizing on small, internationally diverse travel groups, using only local (and often family owned) business partners, practicing strong environmental conservation measures, supporting protection of cultures and traditions, discouraging hand-outs, encouraging letting go of western ideals and experiencing true cultural immersion through participation in authentic ceremonies, adhering to local dress customs, and trying traditional cuisine. In addition to all this, throughout our trips we offer educational seminars that may focus on biology, history, photography, and more.

Our People: Technical Expertise, Leadership and Passion
As any adventurer knows, your tour leader can make or break your trip. Our policy is to employ and empower those that have not just skill and talent for leading tours and interacting with our guests and locals alike, but those with the greatest passion for and expansive knowledge of biology, geology, history, and culture. Our Expedition Leaders are amongst the most experienced on Earth. Most have lived and conducted environmental or cultural projects in, or related to, their country of expertise, so they understand the environmental conditions and cultural nuances of traveling through these regions. In addition to this, our guides have many technical certifications and skills essential to expedition travel and ensuring the safety of all guests, including but not limited to Wilderness First Responder, advanced dive certifications, zodiac driving, rock-climbing, and off-road 4x4 driving. These things, combined with a great sense of humor, make them some of the best travel companions an adventurer could want. The policy also applies to our talented Office Staff behind the scenes in IT, Finance, Operations, Administration and Management. They live and breathe our expeditions and their own adventures and want to create the best travel experience for our guests as possible.

Environmental Responsibility
At WANT Expeditions, all of our staff believe whole-heartedly it is our social responsible to work hand-in-hand to empower the communities we visit to ensure that they benefit as much, if not more, from our visits as we do.
